Virtual Wilbye Consort plays madrigals by

ここに掲載するのは主にMadrigals to Five and Six Parts (1600)に収録されたマドリガルです。ウィールクスの成熟した曲集として知られる反面、実際に演奏されるものは少なく、わずかに"Thule, the Period of Cosmography"と"O Care, Thou Wilt Despatch Me"だけが繰り返し演奏されているように見受けられます（どちらもあえてPart 2だけを録音してみました）。このほかBallets and Madrigals to Five Voices (1598)からも数曲ピックアップしています。きっとおなじみの曲もあるのではないでしょうか。
